Ibiza’s most vibrant co-working space is running their second major fundraiser this 14th of December to support The Abode Project. Presenting a combined Art Exhibition and Live Auction they will host the event from their brand new office extension at theHUB on Friday evening. Proceeds raised will go towards The ABODE Project, which is an ongoing initiative to help fund and support the build of a new school and orphanage for disadvantaged children in Uganda.

The event will start at 7 pm in the evening at theHUB, located at Polígono Ca Na Palava. Everyone is invited to join the exhibition and auction, including a bazaar with handmade products, live painting, visuals, photography projections, street foods and boutique drinks. Soundtracked by live music from Ryan Koriya & local DJ’s, the entry fee is €10, which includes a free drink upon entry. All ticket proceeds and a partition from each stall holder will be donated to The Abode Project.

The Art Exhibition features Chali Creations, Victor Spinelli, Gerson Adonay Castro, Claks and Lucas Vareta with the auction of Charlotte Archer’s art pieces created specially for The Adobe Project. During the event, guests can preview photograph projections by Charlotte Robinson and experience an exclusive screening of ‘The Abode Project’ documentary and trailer by 91 Productions and Strange Company.

Showcasing a vibrant mix of market stalls including NuPhoria Ibiza, Dressed to the Canines, The Goddess Craft, Jewelry By Jaidee, doTerra Essential Oils the venue will be awash with energy. With a great selection of unique and handmade products on offer, the bazaar will be the perfect opportunity to start your Christmas shopping.

Some of the islands hottest hospitality outlets including Simply Susana and Sukasa will be serving organic and vegan styled meals, Meke with their specialty coffees and season inspired Christmas hampers, alongside Taste the Ibiza’s pop up bar will provide boutique drinks to kickstart the social activities.

The first fundraiser, Halloween Family Fun Day was a huge success, raising close to €7000 within a day, and allowing the start of urgent renovations at the site in Uganda. theHUB.Ibiza co-founders Kellie and Sam will be heading back to the village of Kabale in Uganda themselves in February, along with Kai Cant the co-founder with a group of heady and determined volunteers, all collectively working for seven days to achieve the desired goal of renovating the original abandoned school and orphanage. The team will be working together to ensure the building is in appropriate condition to provide the local children with essential shelter, food and most importantly with education for free. theHUB aims to use all of the monies donated from the Art Exhibition and Auction event to compliment their online fundraising efforts, further to build a dedicated youth centre within the school’s perimeter for the youngsters to play and socialise outside of the set school hours.

All funds raised will go directly towards the cost of the work and materials to complete the school and orphanage site. With the new build designed to position safer structures, classrooms and dormitories, canteen, sports ground, vegetable gardens, medical centre, playground and a day room for the children to spend time in and outside of their schooling where they can read books casually and interact in a positive environment.
